Dr. Penny Amsterdam is located at Amstelveenseweg 115 in a remarkable building with a fascinating history related to the nearby Vondelpark.
The former pumping station on Amstelveenseweg dates back to 1875. The upper floor served as a residence for the pump operator. To the left of the pumping station, there was a storage shed for the coal used in the steam engine. Only in the lower level of our clinic in Amsterdam, you can catch a glimpse of the past. There, the ends of the drainage pipes, capped and neatly painted, serve as reminders of the building's original purpose: keeping the Vondelpark and the surrounding villas dry.
