For two of the corona vaccines, Moderna and Pfizer, a chance of about 0.02% of temporary, swelling has been identified for patients who had fillers at the time of vaccination. This then occurs within a few days of vaccination. In most cases, no treatment is necessary and if treatment is needed, normal treatment with pills for allergy is sufficient.
No risk has been found for other vaccines (AstraZeneca, BioNtech). Botulinum toxin (Botox) is absolutely not affected by vaccination. According to experts, there is no reason to refrain from fillers or vaccination. If you are nevertheless worried, we recommend that you ask for a different brand of vaccine than the Moderna vaccine or Pfizer.
We advise people not to undergo filler treatment two weeks before and two weeks after getting the Corona vaccine with Moderna or Pfizer.
